For those of you who love the click of your physical home button on your iPhone 6 or 6s plus, the home button on the iPhone 7 plus home button may feel very different and weird, some might even dislike it.

The reason behind the weird click feedback from the home button is because Apple has made the home "button" into a solid-state button with a taptic engine inside the phone located near the home button that when sense a force pressing on the home button, will vibrate and recreate the home button click sensation. Although it does make sense in theory, in reality, it feels like you are pressing the whole phone inside which feels like you are breaking your iPhone. However there is an advantage of the solid-state button over a conventional button is that there is a lower chance of the button breaking or stop functioning as the button on the iPhone 7 plus is not even a button!

Same as previous models, the home button have a fingerprint sensor that can recognise fingerprints, Touch ID.
